Ah, so, what 'as been 'appening you ask? Many, many things, and not all of zem are good. But I will not dwell on zem - I am 'ere, and zat iz all zat matters.

Lessons are fantastic, and I am getting on very well in zem all. I 'ave begun my designs for my first sewing project, and I think I knew 'ou will be my model. Do you like ze sound of pink silk, Marcella?

I 'ave also joined ze Tennis club! I adore to play, and zere are so many talented people for me to compete with. But, yet, I 'ave not been able to talk to any of zem.. everyone seems to know someone, and I am terribly nervous to approach zem. 'ouever, I 'ave Marcella with me to 'elp protect me from ze brat to play with, so it is okay.

I think I will go and practice now. My serve could use some improvement!

Well, zat iz it. I 'ave talked to all of mon professeur, and zey say it iz fine zat I missed ze first day of zeir classes! I apologised very sincerely, and 'ave been to ze bookstore to pick up my books.

Still I 'ave not seen my room mate. Perhaps she iz with a friend?

When I was exploring ze campus, I heard some strange sounds from one of ze buildings. Like many birds, all making noise. I shall 'ave to go see what zey are zis weekend!

Marcella, shall we meet sometime for coffee? I 'eard zat zere iz a French restaurant in le cité!

Ah! Zis iz my first diary entry... I 'ope it iz all right. I 'ave missed my first day of classes.... I 'ope the professors are not mad with moi! But now I am 'ere, and I shall apologise to them!

I 'ope my class mates are friendly. And my dorm mate too... I 'ave not met 'er yet, as I 'ave only just arrived. My bags are not even unpacked! Her name is 'Rikku'. I 'ope she is talkative.

Now, I must set up my sewing machine and unpack my clothes, zen I will go and apologise to mon professeur!
